This blog is primarily about physical fitness – achieving and maintaining a sound body and sound mind.  It is intended for anyone aspiring to attain wellness through improved physical and mental performance. I hope to share my years of experience and insight on how to achieve realistic and noticeable results.

I’m not an expert, but I’ve trained with, and studied under, many experts in a variety of disciplines and this compendium represents what has worked and not worked for me – the good, the bad and downright ugly.

I’ve studied and practiced martial arts at a high level for nearly 20 years.  More specifically, I have a passion for jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts. During my time in the sporting arena, injuries have taken their toll and forced me to seek a more holistic approach to wellness.

As I enter middle age, I find myself wanting to share what I learned. I’ve always been eager to discuss training and fitness with anyone who is interested.  This includes people of all walks of life at any point in their fitness journey – not just gym rats.

I have a heart for learning and sharing all things fitness.  I hope my writings will be of benefit to someone in need of fresh insights or a motivational boost.
